Hardworking Federal MP Michelle Landry says she is listening to the communities affected by the Australian Defence Force expansion at Shoalwater Bay.
Ms Landry visited the Shoalwater area on Monday, to meet with landowners affected by the expansion of the training area.
Ms Landy says she also spoke to small business owners at Marlborough, ahead of a public forum in early January.
“I’ve spent the day travelling around Shoalwater, Stanage and Marlborough areas, to listen to those affected by the proposed land acquisitions in the area,” Ms Landy said.
“This included a landowners meeting, hosted by lifelong residents Linda and Lawson Geddes at their Couti-Outi property.
“Whilst it is a testing time for the community, I have taken many suggestions and ideas back from this meeting, which I will discuss further with the Australian Defence Force.
“And I encourage all landowners contacted by the ADF to discuss their options with a legal representative, and to obtain the best evaluation for their land.”
